David Hellier

Mr. Hellier is a Partner at Bertram Capital Management. Mr. Hellier oversees Bertram’s originations and capital markets team, where he directs sourcing, investment opportunity assessment, intermediary relationship development, and sell-side investment bank selection. Mr. Hellier is also responsible for developing and managing corporate development office relationships.
Prior to Bertram, Mr. Hellier was President and CEO of The Gemesis Corp., an early innovator in diamond growth technology. At Ask.com, Mr. Hellier’s leadership as Vice President of Marketing launched Ask Jeeves from the 312th ranked Internet site to the 12th largest site on the web and built the company into one of the most widely recognized Internet brands. Mr. Hellier held senior management positions at Iomega, establishing the company’s presence as Managing Director of the Asia Pacific region and subsequently running the $1 billion North American sales and marketing division. Mr. Hellier began his career at Gates Energy Products/Energizer Power Systems.
Mr. Hellier serves on the Board of Directors for Anord-Mardix, the Global Board of Directors for the Association for Corporate Growth, and the Advisory Board for Children Mending Hearts.
Mr. Hellier earned an M.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
